Here is another interview from the archive, and as with recent postings of Headless Chickens and Straitjacket Fits at crucial junctures in their careers, this comes from 1988.
And it to was a pivotal point for former Talking Heads member Jerry Harrison.
Talking Heads hadn't performed for three years at the time Harrison launched his band Casual Gods and although Heads' David Byrne never actually said the band had broken up that is what most realized.
Harrison too . . . to some extent.
So with his second solo album -- also called Casual Gods -- he went on the road with, as you may read, an excellent band of colleagues.
But the fact he was out with a new album and band at the same time as the talking Heads album Naked was released meant the waters were muddied about his solo career. And will they, won't they questions swirled around.
The personable Harrison was happy to talk all about that.
Long time ago now . . . and Talking Heads still haven't got together again.
