THE LINE-UP FOR THE AUCKLAND CITY LIMITS FESTIVAL 2018: Bigger, better, back and Beck

The inaugural Auckland City Limits Festival two years ago was one of the better -- and best organised -- festivals in the city, perhaps because many of the key players behind it had been involved in the last few Big Day Out events.

So they knew what to do . . . and what not to do.

Held in spacious Western Springs with stages far enough apart so there was very little bleed of sound, and with excellent and diverse catering (but inevitable queues at certain times) it seemed to be part BDO and part Womad . . . and boasted excellent acts including the National and Kamasi Washington (among many many others).

On the bill this time are Beck, Grace Jones, Aaradhna, the Avalanches, the re-formed (but probably not reformed) D4, Thundercat and many many more.

Rather than bore you with a list of name players, here is the running order of the acts.

The Auckland City Limits Festival takes place at Western Springs Stadium and Park on 3 March 2018. For more information about tickets  and artists' bios etc go here.
